Pitman's Great Upbringing

Jamie Pitman has been telling the Hereford Times about who has influenced him during his career.

"I had a great upbringing with Graham Turner who is a very good manager and proved it at this level," said the Hereford United care-taker manager.

"I have always been a very deep thinker about my football and I always used to ask him a lot of questions even in the latter part of the season.

"Richard O'Kelly is a top,top coach and has proved that at Bournemouth and at Doncaster with Sean O'Driscoll.

"They are the biggest ones but I also had a great experience at Forest Green with Jim Harvey and learned a lot there.

"You try to take something from each one of them and gel them into your own thoughts."

Pitman was also asked about the game at Northampton on Saturday and Steve Guinan who could be in the Cobblers squad and has been linked to a return to Hereford United.

"Saturday is a winable game and we just have to remember what we are capable of doing.

"Steve has been linked with the job, whether he has been interviewed is someone else's decision.

"He was at the Exeter game watching us so he will know. perhaps, the way we play."

The full page interview with Pitman is in this morning's Hereford Times.
