News Round Up

Oldham have posted a huge £1.5million loss for last season. Their accounts now show the club £4.6million in debt as it confirmed it's future lies in a move away from Boundary Park with commercial revenue and matchday attendances dropping significantly over the 12 months. The Latics say that four of their seven transfer listed players have rejected moves away from the club.

Leyton Orient have offered local community groups ticket offers that not only offer discounted admission but also return half of proceeds back to the group. Lincoln have confirmed that they will interview Mick Harford and Steve Thompson for their managerial post. The former Imps players will work as a pair and are the final candidates to be interviewed with a decision due before the end of the week.

Darlington have issued a 'joint statement' with manager Mark Cooper to deny that he is leaving the club. Cooper has been linked to the vacancies at Lincoln and York but the club denies a rift with the manager despite admitting that Cooper and chairman Raj Singh held 'clear the air talks'. Assistant boss Richard Dryden has also had to apologise to supporters after reacting to abuse during Saturday's loss to part-timers Hayes and Yeading.

Northampton say they may resurrect a move for Crewe striker Calvin Zola in January after a loan move was rejected. The Cobblers say their Carling Cup run has not been as profitable as previously hoped, but that they 'might make a profit this season'. Wycombe midfielder Stuart Green will miss six further weeks with ankle ligament damage picked up in training. He is yet to be fit this season.

Gillingham are to ditch the overnight stay for their trip to Port Vale in the hope of breaking their 32 match away run without a win. Macclesfield striker Emile Sinclair will miss a month after pulling a hamstring against Lincoln at the weekend. Defender Richard Butcher will miss another month after damaging knee ligaments during his rehab for the same injury to the other knee.

Torquay have transfer listed club captain Nicky Wroe after he turned down a new contract with the Gulls. A club statement also suggests the move is part of cost cutting measures at the club. York say they expect to incur a significant loss for last season. Two off-field employees have recently been made redundant by the club in a bid to cut losses.
