Notts County boss Craig Short has revealed that Stockport failed to sign former Bulls loan striker Karl Hawley on loan because they did offer enough of his current wages to make the move worthwhile. The Welsh Premier plans to scrap Saturday football when their league splits in two after 22 games. Apart from televised games they want to play all games on Friday nights or Sundays due to falling attendances.

The soap opera that is Halesowen continues, with the club's owners saying they will report two Football League sides over illegal approaches for striker Stefan Moore. Moore himself has left the Yeltz, dropping two levels for United Counties League side St Neots for a five figure sum and two year deal. Their average attendance last term was 261. Kettering have named Marcus Law as their new manager. He was previously manager at Barwell of the Evo-Stik First Division North, where they won eight out of eigth this term.

Macclesfield say they have turned down a six figure bid from another League Two side for forward Emile Sinclair. The former Nottm Forest trainee, 22, has only scored twice this season. Accrington assistant boss Jimmy Bell has thrown John Coleman's hat into the ring for the vacant job at Lincoln after telling the local press they would listen to an offer.
