Former Bulls defender John McCombe has warned his teammates to be wary of the Bulls now Simon Davey has departed.
The former Huddersfield man told The Sentinel: "When a manager gets sacked sometimes a team starts to win. Their players will want to impress knowing their next manager might be in the stands. They will all be playing for their places.
"I enjoyed my time at Hereford and it's a good club, but we've got to get back to winning games after losing at Oxford. We're still top of the league and that's where we want to stay, so I'll be going out there to play well for the team and help us pick up three more points. Hopefully, we will beat Hereford and then they will pick it up."
Valiants boss Micky Adams also spoke to the paper about Jamie Pitman: "In every dressing room there are happy and unhappy players, so when a manager goes some are doing cartwheels. They could be in the picture tomorrow. Jamie Pitman was a tough little competitor as a player, so if he instils anything in his boys on Saturday it will be the will to compete."
