Colbeck Tipped For Greater Things

John Wardle, writing for the football site FanhouseUK, thinks Bulls winger Joe Colbeck has the goods to progress up the Football League:

The attacking, right-sided, midfielder has been something of a slow burner in his early career at Bradford and Oldham Athletic. Still only 23, he loves to run at defenders and has an incredible turn of pace. He can take on opponents on either side and he is not reluctant to put in the yards to defend when his team lose possession. His final ball could be worked on and, with his abilty to get beyond defenders, he should add more goals to his game. Hereford will struggle to keep him, but needs to show further improvement to progress beyond the Championship level.

Meanwhile Trevor Benjamin has spoken to the Daily Mail about his nomadic footballing career. Referring to his release from the Bulls, his last League club, he tells the paper:

"I had a bad eye injury, that's what put me out of the game at Hereford. I had an eye infection that came from a contact lens being in contaminated water. It started to get better but then it got worse and it stopped me playing. It's not 100 per cent yet. But then you lose fitness and I found it hard to get it back. I discovered that wanting it and doing it are two different things."
