News Round Up

Oxford boss Chris Wilder has signed a new three year deal with the club. He has returned them to the League in less than two seasons at the helm. Cheltenham defender Martin Riley has re-injured the hamstring that has kept him out for the last two weeks, meaning another three weeks on the sidelines.

Bradford have offered trialist striker Chib Chilaka a contract. He has been operating at the club on non-contract terms but will now be offered a permanent deal. Fellow trialists Seb Carole and Malvin Kamara have been released. Northampton will not be following up their interest in former Tranmere man Bas Savage, with Dagenham now trialling him. If they don't move for him, Kingstonian want to sign him for their Ryman league campaign.

Hartlepool's owners have had an offer of £50,000 to buy their Victoria Road home rejected by the local council. IOR, the oil company owners, say the council got the ground for nothing and IOR have spent £12million on it over the last 13 years. Pegasus Juniors have appointed Paul Wilband as their new manager.

The FA is considering whether to extend betting rules to stop players and officials from betting on any football rather than just the games and competitions they are involved in. England C drew 2-2 with Wales u23 side on Tuesday night. They held a 2-0 half time lead but were guilty of missing several chances.

Port Vale have signed MK Dons forward Jemal Johnson on a months loan. The 25 year old had trials in the MLS during the summer but returned to the franchise side. Shrewsbury midfielder Benjamin Van Den Broek is to miss up to two months after damaging ankle ligaments. Torquay have signed former Millwall defender Danny Senda, who hasn't played a first team game since being stretchered of during the final match of the 07/08 season.

Accrington managing director Dave O'Neill has denied he has resigned from his job and says he will refuse to hand over the day to day running of the club without firm plans from benefactor Ilyas Khan. O'Nell was claimed to have quit after a meeting with Khan last month. Lincoln's former Bulls forward Gavin McCallum is back in contention for first team action after a month out with a hip injury.
