Bauza Joins The Bulls

Former Swansea striker Guillem Bauza has joined the Bulls until January, the club have confirmed.

The 25 year old Spaniard scored 13 goals in his opening season in English football with the Swans in League One, but injuries limited his chances and he made only fleeting appearances last term. He told the BBC, in April:

"It's been a really tough season for me. I picked up an injury at the start of the season and it took me four or five months to get back. Since then I've been working really hard to get back in the team which has been really difficult because the gaffer [Paulo Sousa] already has his first 11 and 16."

The former Spanish youth international has recently been on trial in Holland after another trial with Charlton.

The Spaniard started his career at Mallorca before spending a couple of years with RCD Espanyol playing in their “B” team in the Spanish 2nd Division. He joined The Jacks in the summer of 2007 during the reign of Roberto Martinez and had made around 50 apppearances for the Championship outfit scoring 9 League goals.

During his formative years he played with Fernando Torres in the U16, U17 and U20 Spanish teams.

He spent this pre-season on trial at Charlton but has more recently been in Holland with Sparta Rotterdam and is usually known by the nickname “Bussy”.

“Bussy” is a qualified teacher and a fluent English speaker.
