Lionel Ainsworth was introduced to the press at Shrewsbury Town earlier today and in an interview revealed how he felt for Hereford.
"Hereford were interested in bringing me back and I love the club, it’s still in my heart, but Graham Turner nurtured me into the player that I am now," Ainsworth told the Shropshire Star.
"He gave me the opportunity when I was first let go from Derby at a young age.
"He believed in me and I was lucky enough to take up the challenge of playing in League Two and did very well.
"I just want to get back to playing how I was a few years ago at Hereford – that was the best point of my life."
Meanwhile former Bull Trent Mcclenahan is on trial with Scunthorpe and played a part in a local cup game against Grimsby this evening. He recently left Scottish Premier League club Hamilton Academical after failing to agree on a new contract.
