An excellent turn out of Hereford United supporters is expected at Crewe on Saturday for the first League Two match of the new season.
Not only do the Bulls have a new manager and a dozen or so new players, but also a new chairman and vice-chairman. The new 'regime' has done a lot of hard work to promote the club since taking over at Edgar Street and it looks as though supporters old and new will respond by getting behing the team on Saturday.
The first HUISA coach is already fully booked with seats now being sold for the second.
In recent years support for the Bulls at their first away game of the season has varied for several reasons. After promotion from the Conference to League Two, the first game of the 2006/07 season was away at Stockport.
That day some 1131 supporters cheered on their side to a, perhaps unexpected, 2-0 victory. Whether the number of fans at Crewe reaches that figure remains to be seen but it shouldn't be far from it.
Support for Bulls at First Away Game:
2006/07 Stockport 1131 - League Two
2007/08 Barnet 380 - League Two
2008/09 Leyton Orient 805 - League One
2009/10 Morecambe 355 - League Two
