Simon Davey has told the Hereford Times that his strikers (one of whom, Sean Canham, is pictured warming up) must be more ruthless as they missed several goal-scoring chances at Ledbury this afternoon.
"I would have been a bit more pleased if my strikers, when they came on, were a bit more ruthless," said the Hereford United manager.
"Hopefully in a Football League situation they will be a bit more selfish."
Davey also told the paper he had more trialists to look at next week.
"We will have a few more trialists coming in next week and I will have to make decisions on the players already on trial. We will have additions between now and the start of the season but there’s nothing in the immediate future."
Davey appeared pleased with the number of Hereford United supporters at the friendly. The HT mentioned a gate of 800 whilst BN suggested about 700 were present. This compares with around 400 for a friendly at Ledbury two seasons ago.
