Davey comments on Swindon Friendly

Hereford United manager Simon Davey gave a few comments to the Hereford Times after last night's friendly with Swindon Town.

"The scoreline didn’t really reflect the performance. I thought for possibly 60 minutes we were well in the game. At half-time we went in at 1-1 and we possibly should have been two or three up. We had some fantastic chances. The pleasing point was that when we started with our system, and the main group of players, we competed and did well and should have been in front. The disappointing thing was the 4-1 result," he said.

Davey took off several players after halftime, including defenders Janos Kovacs and Michael Townsend, and the Bulls appeared less effective from then on.

"I had to look at another centre-back tonight and I then changed the system to 4-4-2 to look at players in wide areas and it disjointed things a bit.

"It was another 60-70 minutes for a lot of the players and they now have to learn how to lose games and bounce back."
