Striker Steve Guinan is expected to be offered a deal to stay with Hereford United after his current deal comes to an end in June.
33 year old Guinan has scored 14 goals to date this season with his latest on Monday at Tranmere.
He has also captained the side on several occasions when Karl Broadhurst has not been available.
A firm favourite with supporters it is expected that he will be in the running for player of the season
During the last few years Guinan has studied at Gloucester University and recently was awarded a BSc degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences. He has also gained several coaching badges and is a fully qualified 'A' Licence coach.
Exactly what deal manager Graham Turner will offer Guinan remains to be seen but informed sources suggest he is in-line for an enhanced post at Edgar Street.
