Colchester visit Edgar Street This Afternoon

Hereford United may be doomed to League Two football next season but that shouldn't stop the players doing their best for the club.

One way they can do that is by putting on an improved performance during this afternoon's match against Colchester and taking all three points.

With manager Graham Turner suggesting that he is looking to offer new contracts to at least a couple of players, there is still everything to play for.

On top of that no-one wants to finish below Cheltenham. That really would be embarrassing. The Robins have a tough game away at Crewe this afternoon.

Meanwhile Colchester manager Paul Lambert is hoping his side can stop their slide down the table. They have lost their last three games.

"It will be a tough game at Hereford – they’re fighting for their lives," said Lambert.

"Our fans will have made a four-hour journey and we have an obligation to them to give them a game of football."

One player known to the Bulls will not feature for Colchester this afternoon. Karl Hawley, who had a loan spell at Edgar Street, has returned to his parent club Preston.

This Afternoon's League One Fixtures:

Brighton v Oldham
Bristol Rovers v Millwall
Carlisle v Swindon
Crewe v Cheltenham
Hereford v Colchester
Leeds v Tranmere
Leyton Orient v Northampton
Peterborough v Stockport
Scunthorpe v MK Dons
Southend v Leicester
Walsall v Huddersfield
Yeovil v Hartlepool

As ever with Hereford United home games there will be updates on BBC Hereford and Worcester. BBC Radio Essex will also be covering the game.
