Colin Addison is hoping his former team-mates at Hereford United will support him at a golf tournament at Wormsley on May 22nd.
It will be in aid of the Breast Cancer Haven which like many other charities may have to trim its services because of the credit crunch.
Already, according to the Hereford Times, two players, Tony Gough and Fred Potter, have agreed to take part.
"It's all for a good cause," said Addison. "I hope we get a good response from the other boys such as Ronnie and Ricky George."
There will be an auction including football shirts, Bengry's have agreed to give away a Mazda MX5 to anyone who gets a hole in one and Westons Cider and Hobsons Brewery are also supporting the tournament.
