Who ran off with Beau Brummie's Head?

Video on You Tube showing someone walking down a street with what looks like a football mascots head is being linked to the theft of Birmingham City's Mascot Beau Brummie's head during last weekend's game with Cardiff City.

Birmingham City staff have been trying to track down the missing piece of costume before their next game home game against Derby County.

“I had left the ground about ten minutes early and the guy went to have a look in the players entrance, then the next minute he came out with the mascot’s head. It was hilarious and there was a few of us taking pictures of him wearing it as he walked down the road,” said one eye-witness.

Beau Brummie is a familiar sight at Blues’ home games and he also represents the club at childrens’ parties and various community events.

The character dates back to the 1960s when cartoons of a similar dog to Beau featured in Blues programmes from that era.

At least Birmingham City have a mascot. With Hereford United's recently relaunched Junior Bulls gaining members maybe it's an ideal time to bring back Billy the Bull if his costume can be located.
