Wigan have won their case against Greater Manchester Police over charges billed to the club for policing matches.
A majority of Appeal Court judges held that the 'special policing services' at issue were not "requested" by the club within the meaning of the 1996 Police Act and the police were therefore not entitled to recover the cost.
But the club are due back only £37,000 of the £300,000 they were claiming, according to the BBC, and it is currently unclear quite which charges have been successfully fought and how this would reflect on the Bulls' case with West Mercia Police.
Wigan are consulting the full outcome of the case and will issue a full statement later which will hopefully shed more light on the issue.
