Preview: Bulls vs Hartlepool

The Bulls entertain Hartlepool on Saturday in a League One match at Edgar Street.

The Bulls will be defending a three match winning streak over the 'Pools at Edgar Street, with the two teams last meeting 12 months ago in an FA Cup match at Edgar Street. The Bulls ran out 2-0 winners, but only six of the starting line-up are still at the club with John McCombe and Theo Robinson scoring the goals. Overall, the Bulls are comfortably on top of this rivalry, with 20 wins to Hartlepool's 11.

The Bulls look for back-to-back wins for the first time since the end of last season. Robbie Threlfall is hoped to be back in against the side he got injured against last season, but the futures of the likes of Clint Easton and Moses Ashikodi lie in the balance following their removal from the matchday sixteen last weekend.

The monkey hangers will scour the dressing room for fit bodies before making the trip South. With leading striker James Brown not feeling so good, and Joel Porter singing the blues, they face having up to seven first teamers missing for the game. Flu-ridden pair Jamie McCunnie and Ben Clark lasted only until half time of their reserve match on Tuesday and are doubtful, leading boss Danny Wilson to delve into the youth teamers with Jonny Rowell expected to make his League debut. They will need to improve on the record of two points from five games to stop themselves dropping into the dogfight.

Hereford United vs Hartlepool United, Edgar Street, Saturday 13th December, 3.00pm.
