Swindon are now expected to appoint Richard Money as their new manager after he was reported to have quit his job at Newcastle, but Money told the press: "I haven't left my post and I’m not on my way to Swindon." Brighton have confirmed they were the sole side to vote against the 'home grown' player rule, with Chairman Dick Knight telling local radio: "We voted against this proposal because I don't think it goes anywhere near far enough. It won't have any impact on the lower division clubs."
Crewe's decision for their next manager is down to four people, including ex-Stoke boss Gudjon Thordasson and John Ward. Cheltenham hope to sign Leicester midfielder James Wesolowski on a free transfer in the January window, although boss Martin Allen intends to dramatically slim down his squad. Leicester have released veteran Radostin Kishishev by mutual consent. The Bulgarian played just ten games in 18 months at the club.
Ex-Bull Dean Craven has joined Stafford on loan from Bromsgrove. New Stafford boss Chris Brindley has just 12 first teamers, and only one goalkeeper, left due to their cash crisis and will use Craven and fellow loanee Christian Miller to bolster his team.
