The FA, Football League, and Premier League have agreed an extension to the transfer window - by one day.
With both the August and January windows due to close on weekends - and presumably with no-one wanting to man their respective offices - the August transfer window will now close at midnight on Monday September 1st. A similar arrangement will also be made for the January window.
