The Bulls entertain Yeovil Town for the first Football League fixture between the sides.
Yeovil's rise out of the Conference in 2003 put paid to a six year streak of the sides meeting in the fifth level of the Pyramid. However at the start of last season the sides were paired in both the Carling Cup and the Johnstones Paint Trophy. The Bulls hammered the Glovers in the Carling Cup 4-1 before they gained some revenge with a penalty decided tie in the JPT. Overall, the Bulls have only four wins and five draws from 20 games with Yeovil.
The Bulls sudden pre-season change to 4-5-1 seemed to catch many fans off guard, though the players appear equally foxed by the new formation that was only debuted the week before the season started - a month after training began. Each game since then has been lost 2-1, both friendly and competitive, leaving many wondering if the move was a wise decision. Many fans would prefer a quick return to 4-4-2, but whether Graham Turner feels it is time to abandon the formation just yet is anyone's guess.
Yeovil's pre-season transfer dealings left their fans in little doubt that this season would be a struggle as players departed to be replaced by some percieved cheaper options. Out went star striker Marcus Stewart to be replaced by non-league starlet Gavin Tomlin, whose previous attempt in the League saw 15 goal-less games at Brentford two years ago. This time round he fired home within ten minutes of his debut and Yeovil's season has got off to a respectable start with a draw with Walsall followed up by a win over Charlton.
