The Guardian have interviewed Graham Turner for their season preview, with the piece titled 'How to win promotion':
"We took a number of young players last season and we managed to create a lovely team spirit among them, where there was a good work ethic and they enjoyed each other's company. We also had a little bit of luck at the right time with our loan players. We had a boy on loan from West Bromwich Albion called Sherjill MacDonald who scored six goals in seven games. He was absolutely outstanding and we teamed him up with Gary Hooper, who we brought in from Southend, and those two were a real bonus and an integral part of what we did last season.
"Perhaps you could argue that it was good judgment as well as luck that we brought in those two. We also played some very good football and it's interesting that a lot of the sides who were successful last season - if you look at ourselves, Peterborough, MK Dons and Stockport - were good passing teams. I think there's a message there that the days of being very direct and physical in the lower leagues have gone. Four teams proved that was not the case last season and I would expect more to do the same this season."
Steve Claridge also gives his views on the Bulls:
"Graham Turner is going to have to work the oracle again but the brief won't be to take Hereford up but to stay up, a similar aim to another small club, Cheltenham. Swindon are yet to convince that all is well at the club and while I don't think Northampton will go down they might not do as well as they expect. The other promoted side, Stockport, will struggle after losing striker Liam Dickinson and Walsall may find this season very different from the last one. Hartlepool will find the going tough against teams with larger budgets, as will Leyton Orient, who have overachieved in recent seasons under Martin Ling."
