Southend have rejected a move by Crystal Palace for midfielder Nicky Bailey. The transfer listed midfielder was placed on the transfer list last month after rejecting a new deal at Roots Hall. MK Dons have taken midfielder Keith Andrews off the transfer list after talks with the club. He had been believed to be following Paul Ince to Blackburn, but no official bid materialised.
Yeovil have confirmed the signing of Portsmouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on an initial three month loan. The 21 year old Canadian had a spell at Huish Park last season. Leicester have confirmed the signing of veteran striker Paul Dickov. Now 35, he scored 37 times in 97 games during a 2 year spell with the Foxes until 2004.
Crewe have been rebuffed by Hibs striker Clayton Donaldson after talks between the clubs and the player. It is believed the offered pay off on his Hibs contract is not sufficient to make up the shortfall on the wages offered by the Railwaymen.
