News Round Up

Cambridge have revealed their PremiumTV official website earned them over £5,000 in advertising revenue in the last quarter. The site, one of 79 now run by Football League Interactive, saw 1.2million hits in the past year which is about the same as Bulls News. Bournemouth have had their transfer embargo lifted, meaning they can now sign players from other clubs. Their budget for the season is set for attendances of 4,800.

Hartlepool are set to sell striker Richie Barker to Rotherham for £50,000. The 33 year old was previously with the Millers for three years in which time the club got to the Championship. Leyton Orient have bagged around £400,000 from the sell-on clause they held on Nicky Shorey, who left Reading for Aston Villa.

Somerset Police are reporting that Yeovil had just three arrests at their ground last season. Bristol Rovers had 64, 45 of them Rovers followers. Leicester have loaned striker Ricky Sappleton to Bournemouth for an initial month. The 18 year old has made only one sub appearance for the Foxes first team.

Cheltenham have finally landed a striker, taking 36 year old Barry Hayles from Leicester on a months loan. The well travelled veteran scored only twice in nineteen appearances after joining the Foxes last December. It has also been revealed that Andy Morrell, who recently left Blackpool for Bury, also rejected a move to Whaddon Road.
