News Round Up

You win, but you still lose - Crawley boss Steve Evans has had his appeal against the 2 month suspended ban from football he received for his repeated offences last season upheld, and the FA were nice enough to 'lower' it to a 20 match ban. Half of it is suspended for the season pending another breach, but it will mean he cannot go near his team for up to two hours before and after a match or speak to a match official on the day. He will miss a total of 12 games with a 2 match ban already in place.

Ex-Bull Chukki Eribenne is expected to be unveiled as Sutton United's latest signing later today. Kidderminster have acknowledged low season ticket sales for the coming season, blaming it on the credit crunch rather than the lack of signed players. Millwall expect to announce the loan signing of Leeds striker Tresor Kandol later today. He is expected to agree a deal until January.

Leicester want an old boys reunion - literally. Veterans Paul Dickov and Robbie Savage are both wanted by the Foxes to zimmer their way to promotion. Swindon will sign full back Kasali Yinka Casal after agreeing a deal with his Dutch club Cambuur. Southend expect to sign Chelsea defender Anthony Grant on a two year deal today.

Cheltenham's pursuit of Geoff Horsfield appears to have stalled due to his wage demands, with the club turning to ex-Bull Stuart Fleetwood. They also retain an interest in Yeovil striker Lloyd Owusu, but the trail has 'gone cold', and are challenging Swindon for Bristol City winger Kevin Betsy.
