Ben Smith has asked supporters to get behind the team and make Edgar Street a hard place to come to.
"It was never going to be like last season when we were winning week in, week out," Smith told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"Over the last two or three years the club has had a lot of success - going up from the Conference, then going up from League Two.
"Even though we have lost today we really want to make this ground a fortress. Compared with a lot of other grounds in this league it's not the most impressive. So we want to make it a really hard place to come.
"It didn't quite happen today but with the help of the supporters we can make it a hard place to come and pick up a lot of points here through the season."
