Connell may move to Bournemouth

With the transfer deadline looming, many managers are trying to beef up their squads whilst watching the purse-strings.

Bournemouth are no exception.

Co-owner Paul Barker has stressed that whilst the sale of Jo Kuffour to Bristol Rovers would bring in much needed cash, he doesn't want to let him go without bringing in another striker.

That striker may be former Hereford United player Alan Connell who is currently with Brentford.

Connell would be returning to Deans Court for a second spell if the deal goes ahead.

Since leaving Bournemouth he has scored 27 goals in 119 appearances (32 from the bench) for Torquay, Hereford and Brentford.
