Darlington beat Rochdale 2-1 in today's League Two play-off semi-final at the Darlington Arena thanks to a late goal.
Jason Kennedy opened the scoring for the Quakers before a heavily deflected Chris Dagnall shot equalised the match. Sub Ian Miller headed home the winner two minutes into injury time. Ex-Bull Rob Purdie played the full match, but the Quakers will be disappointed with the gate of only 8,057 with well over 2,000 Dale fans.
The Quakers' injury problems continued with Tommy Wright, Ben Parker, and Alan Wright being withdrawn through injury during the second half, while Rochdale lost Lee Thorpe with a broken arm prior to the game when an arm wrestling contest on the coach to the match went wrong.
The second play-off semi is tomorrow at 6pm, with Wycombe entertaining Stockport.
