No Wembley for Purdie

Former Hereford United player Rob Purdie will not be playing at Wembley this season.

Darlington went out of the League Two play-offs as they were defeated on penalties by Rochdale after the teams were level on aggregate at the end of extra-time.

Purdie scored with his penalty kick but Jason Kennedy's was saved by Dale keeper Tommy Lee.

Rochdale's David Perkins was sent off early in the second period of extra time and may miss the final against either Stockport or Wycombe.
