We'd all heard about how wonderful the new stadium was and about the super-duper electronic turnstiles with barcode readers but one window selling tickets was simply not enough. It took 32 minutes to get my ticket and that was before they ran out and had to wait for more to arrive. Some fans were seen still walking to their seats fifteen minutes into the match.
Also, the arrangements for half time refreshments proved inadequate as, again, fans were made to queue for well over the interval period just for a coffee.
It was, however, comfortable and well stewarded. The parking was excellent and the view from the visitor's section was fine while the playing surface looked like a billiard table compared to the pitch at Darlo or, indeed, the expected cabbage patch that awaits The Dons when they visit Stockport.
