News Round Up

Mansfield owner Keith Haslam has admitted that his 'buy the club for £1' offer isn't quite than. Investigations have shown that Haslam wants the new owners to write off a near £600,000 loan made to Haslam by the club for land for a claimed training complex. This additional cost means the £1 club Haslam bought 15 years ago will fetch him over £7million once the stadium sale is complete and the land is sold for a community sports centre. He is also being paid a 'severance' package for six months over his departure from the day-to-day running.

Bournemouth's Administrator has agreed a sale with Marc Jackson, a local businessman. Jackson was originally part of Chairman Jeff Mostyn's consortium but backed out. Mostyn also tabled a late bid yesterday but was eventually ruled out. Jackson must now lodge funds with the Administrator by close of business on Monday. Rotherham are to sell two paintings depicting the club to help see them through Administration. The unique works are to be sold by the Administrator to cover losses at the club.

Stockport are to hold talks with Sale Sharks over the pitch problems at Edgeley Park. The rugby club's owner is the current landlord of the ground, with the Hatters holding a buy-back clause. Barnet have released striker Sean Seanla from his contract after they confirmed it would not be renewed in the summer. Macclesfield have opened contract talks with boss Keith Alexander over a contract for next season. The Silkmen have won 13 of the last 18 points to drag themselves away from the relegation spots.

Woking sacked manager Frank Gray after last night's loss to local rivals Stevenage. Former coach Colin Lippiatt, a Director at the club, is expected to take charge for the remainder of the season. The Cards, formerly challengers for the title under Geoff Chapple, are 17th in the table. Morecambe have offered winger Garry Thompson 'the biggest deal in the club's history' to try and keep him at Christie Park next season.
