Darren Ferguson appears to be getting his excuses for a possible defeat by Hereford United next Saturday well before the event by blaming the Edgar Street pitch.
The Peterborough club will be keeping one eye on the result of the MKDons/Bulls match tomorrow evening which could affect how many more points Posh might need for automatic promotion. A win for the Dons or a draw would mean that Posh require three points from Saturday. A Hereford win tomorrow means that whatever the result on Saturday Posh will have to wait for definite promotion.
"We just need to go out and win on Saturday. We need to concentrate on our own game and not worry about anyone else," Ferguson told Peterborough Today.
"We will have to combat an awful pitch, but I'm sure we will be well prepared and able to cope with anything."
