There is little doubt that the Bulls were unlucky not to take all three points this afternoon at Edgar Street if the possession stats are anything to go by.
Possession was judged to be 61% to the Bulls and just 39% to Chester.
The Bulls had seven shots on target and Chester had nine.
As regards fouls Chester, who appeared to try to kick Hereford's players several times in the game, had thirteen against just seven by the Bulls.
The attendance was 3210 with 190 from Chester. It appears the counter attraction of the Grand National may have kept some fans away as the home support of 3020 was 275 less than for the last home game two weeks ago.
Richard Rose was booked for dissent - probably for suggesting the penalty decision was harsh.
Man of the match was given to Gary Hooper by sponsors Denise Powell and David Edge. However John McCombe was given a top mark of eight for his performance with Hooper, Dean Beckwith, Richard Rose and Ben Smith all receiving a seven.
