Beckwith Back for Accy Game

Hereford United's Dean Beckwith will be back in the side that faces Accrington Stanley tomorrow. The defender missed last Saturday's match against Stockport County as he was suspended.

Toumani Diagouraga, who has partnered Ben Smith in mid-field for most of the season, may also be back in the side. He played in last Tuesday's local cup match against Bromyard last Tuesday. Diagouraga pulled up with a groin strain in the recent game at Rochdale and has missed several games.

Meanwhile manager Graham Turner is hoping his side will bounce back after two defeats which has meant that the Bulls have dropped down to fourth place in the table.

"We've got to start keeping clean sheets, and you look at Peterborough and MK Dons and they don't concede many goals.

"That is not a change of philosophy, we will always try and pass the ball, and try and attack.

"We should have been capable of stopping both the goals that were scored against us in the last two games.

"We've lost two games on the trot. The last time we did it we went on a run of five consecutive wins," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

Turner has also spoken to the Worcester News about tomorrow's game.

"Accrington is never an easy place to go to, we know that from days gone by, but we are more than capable if we perform of getting three points.

"Sides around us have pulled slightly ahead of us and we can't allow them to get too far ahead. Both Darlington and Peterborough are going well but I think MK Dons have got other attractions with their Wembley final and it might just distract them from the league.

"The other teams will be thinking we are going to be the ones to fall by the wayside and we have got to make sure that doesn't happen."

Finally Accrington defender Mark Roberts told the Lancashire Telegraph:

"Obviously it's going to be a difficult game against one of the top teams in the league. But we got a good result against them earlier in the season and we could have won the game. We're not scared of anyone."
