News Round Up

Tranmere will appeal over the dismissal of defender Ian Goodison during today's loss to Crewe if video evidence proves their case. Gooding will miss the FA Cup match with the Bulls if they are unsuccessful. Mansfield will be without top scorer Michael Boulding for a month after he damaged his hamstring in their loss to MK Dons. He has scored a third of all their goals this season, but lasted just 15 minutes before being subbed.

Darlington are to release midfielders Xavier Barrau and Kevin McBride. The pair have missed out on first team action since September. Stockport have added Jimmy McNulty and Danny Pilkington to their list of January signings. McNulty joins after his release from Macclesfield while Pilkington, whose elder brother Anthony already plays for the Hatters, joins from local football.

Rotherham have extended the loan of Sheff Utd midfielder Ian Ross until the end of the season, while the loan of Andy Todd to Accrington is now being reported as being until the end of the season. Lincoln have released midfielder Michael Roddy after his short-term contract expired. The former Bolton trainee never played for the first team. Grimsby have extended the loan of Barnsley forward Rob Atkinson for another month.

Macclesfield chairman Rob Bickerton will resign after Saturday's home match with Morecambe. He has been chairman since 2002, but is looking for a fresh challenge. New York boss Colin Walker has been named Conference manager of the month for December. Ex-Bulls striker John Grant is one of five players up for the player award.
