The Worcester News is reporting quotes from Hereford United manager Graham Turner about his problems in getting fresh faces to Edgar Street.
"They just didn't want to drop down to League Two," said Turner.
"Its frustrating as we have a lot of attractive games coming up and we are challenging for promotion.
"The lad who turned us down on Friday (today? - ed) was back in his club's squad for the weekend so things may change on that front as the month goes.
"I'm not the only manager who is experiencing these problems.
"I'm waiting to speak to another Championship club about a player so hopefully something will happen soon."
Meanwhile Port Vale have signed Kyle Perry from Chasetown according to BBC Sport who say that Perry was once at Hereford United.
Perry had a trial at Edgar Street in July 2006, but did not feature in any friendlies for the Bulls.
