Mitre Goal of the Year

Once again it's time for the 2008 Football League Awards incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players. Of special interest is the Mitre Goal of the Year category.

The Football League are asking clubs to nominate one goal from any Football League competition in the 2007 calendar year, to include goals scored in The Carling Cup, The Coca-Cola Football League and The Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

It is expected that details on how to vote should be posted shortly on the Official Hereford United website but in essence supporters will make suggestions and then a poll will take place on the top five suggestions.

The entries will then be shortlisted from the 72 club nominations to five goals overall, and the winner will be decided at the Awards ceremony at the London Hilton on 2nd March.

Closing date for votes is for nominations in Monday 14th January at 12 noon, we will then run a poll of the top 5 Town goals to find the final Town winner.

Player of the Year* - Coca-Cola League 2
Player of the Year* - Coca-Cola League 1
Player of the Year* - Coca-Cola Championship

*These awards will be presented to the highest ranked player in each division in FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players
