Steve Guinan is reported to have a calf injury and may miss out on playing in Saturday's FA Cup game at Tranmere.
Trevor Benjamin is expected to take his place and team up with Theo Robinson in attack for the Bulls
Benjamin is said to be fully recovered from the car crash he was involved in on his return from Bradford last Saturday. The car in which he was travelling was a write-off.
"We've more or less written him (Guinan) off, but we're hoping that Trevor [Benjamin] has recovered from his escapade," manager Graham Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I thought that he played very, very well at Bradford; he got his goal, but he led the line extremely well."
Clint Easton is also likely to miss the game with his ankle injury.
However Turner is hopeful of an upset.
"We've knocked out Leeds; we've knocked out Hartlepool, and we've knocked out Yeovil in the Carling Cup, so it's another first division side to come up against.
"Away from home our form has been good; there's that belief about us, so there is nothing to fear.
"We've got a chance of going there and causing an upset."
Meanwhile Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore has been speaking to his Official Website.
"We want to get through to the next round but we know it won't be easy," said Moore.
"Hereford went to Leeds and won so they deserve respect.
"We're at home and we have to make the home advantage tell as there could be a massive reward."
