Hereford United coach John Trewick has told the Worcester News that the Bulls must focus on the here and now.
"Four wins out of five away from home is terrific form. If we can cement that with a home win on Saturday then we're really in business.
"If we had lost at Notts County it would have been two defeats on the trot and it can start to gnaw away at you a little bit.
"We've won two games out of three. If we win two out of the next three I'll be absolutely delighted and that'll do us.
"If we keep going on those lines for the remainder of the season then we will have a good year but we're not looking that far ahead.
"We are very much focused on the here and now. You'd rather be second top than second bottom but nobody's dancing on the rooftops, nobody's getting carried away and the players understand the situation.
"It's a long, long season. We are not even a quarter of the way through yet and lots and lots of things can happen."
Meanwhile Graham Turner has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he considered dropping Lionel Ainsworth for last Tuesday's game At Notts County.
The Hereford United manager suggested that young players who burst onto the scene sometimes find it difficult to maintain their performance and may have to take their turn on the bench.
