Graham Turner is hopeful that plans for the redevelopment of the Edgar Street stadium should be with the Hereford Council by the new year.
He has met with both the Richardson Brothers and one of the potential developers of the area in the last week.
"We have a meeting with an architect who should be appointed for the football facilities. He is an experienced architect in terms of football stadium. We are meeting him later this week," Turner told the Official Site.
"But still things seem to be moving slowly.
"I'll be very disappointed if we don't get a planning application in before the turn of the year. That still applies but we need to start things shaping up a little bit."
