The Bulls entertain Bradford City on Saturday for the first time since 1981.
Historically the Bulls hold a slight advantage in previous meetings, with five wins to Bradford's four and three draws. At Edgar Street the Bulls have a 4-2 advantange, with not one of the games being drawn.
The Bulls will be looking to rectify some indifferent home form after three straight wins on the road. One home goal in three league games at Edgar Street has contrasted sharply with each of the away matches providing two or more goals. Trent McClenahan will be welcomed back into the squad after yet another foreign trip on the road to the Olympics.
Bradford have assembled a squad on a budget, with four loan signings bolstering a squad of former trainees and journeyman pros, but manager Stuart McCall has been happy with the work done on the pitch so far this season. They followed up their first away win at Lincoln with a first clean sheet at home to Peterboro and it does look like it may not be the right time to play them. Losses at Shrewsbury and Barnet on the road do suggest they are vulnerable away from their 13,000 crowds at home.
Former Leeds man David Wetherall joined the club during their Premiership days for £1.4million and has seen service in all four divisions as they've slid down the pyramid. Jamaican international pair Omar Daley and Donovan Ricketts have been ever present this season, while veteran ex-Cardiff striker Peter Thorne has struggled for fitness and is yet to get off the mark for his new club.
Hereford United vs Bradford City, Edgar Street, Saturday 22nd September, 3.00pm.
