Who could Hereford play in the Carling Cup?

The draw for the second round of the Carling Cup takes place on Sky TV this evening at about 9.40pm after the last game from Round One is completed. The draw is a little complicated in that there will be 24 seeded teams and 24 unseeded teams and a seeded team can only play a team from the unseeded section. Therefore Hereford United will play a seeded team and that could mean a trip to a Premiership Club.

List of Seeded Teams - one of which Hereford United will play:

Aston Villa
Birmingham City
Burnley
Cardiff City
Charlton Athletic
Coventry City
Derby County
Fulham
Hull City
Manchester City
Middlesborough
Newcastle United
Norwich City
Portsmouth
Plymouth Argyle
Reading
Sheffield United
Sunderland
Watford
West Bromwich
West Ham United
Wigan Athletic
Wolverhampton

List of Unseeded Teams:

Hereford United
Barnsley (will be seeded if Rotherham win their game this evening)
Blackpool
Bristol City
Bristol Rovers
Carlisle
Hartlepool
Leeds
Leicester
Leyton Orient
Luton
Milton Keynes Dons
Morecambe
Notts Forest
Northampton
Norwich
Oldham
Rochdale
Shrewsbury
Southend
Stockport
Swansea City
Wrexham

One game remains to be played this evening:
Rotherham v Sheff Wed.

Should Sheffield Wednesday win they will join the 'Seeded' list. If Rotherham win they will be unseeded but Barnsley will then become a seeded team.

The following Premiership sides receive a bye: Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Bolton Wanderers, and Blackburn Rovers
