Tynan Signs For Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet have signed former Bulls loanee Scott Tynan to cover for injured first choice keeper Glen Cronin.

It is understood that Tynan has joined the club on non-contract terms after Cronin damaged a finger in training. He has been searching for a club since leaving Rushden in the summer. With Graham Turner still on the lookout for a permanent second keeper, Tynan would be one of those in his mind after decent performances last season while Wayne Brown was out injured.

Another former keeper that may be on Turner's mind is Matt Baker, who is also still looking for a club. The former Hull trainee, who is still only 28, has led a somewhat nomadic existence since leaving Edgar Street in the summer of 2004. His move to Wrexham went sour after only four months and, despite impressing fans with his performances at MK Dons, he soon found himself out of favour at the National Hockey Stadium.

At the start of last season he joined Weymouth but failed to make an appearance before Garry Hill, and the money, departed the club but he did play for Hill at Rushden, where he displaced Tynan from the team. Baker also rejected a return to Edgar Street last season on loan prior to Tynan's arrival and has, so far, been spotted in friendlies for both Macclesfield and Morecambe although neither tied him to a contract.
