Crawley Town manager Steve Evans has followed the example of Paul Fairclough and blasted the referee in charge of his sides game at Salisbury City yesterday.
Evans, well known to Hereford United supporters from his time at Boston, spoke to the press about referee Mike Mullarkey and may now face a charge from the FA.
"I thought he was rubbish. That is not sour grapes because I accept we were soundly beaten but our day was summed up at 2-0 when Vieira was pulled down in the box.
"We had no argument with their penalty and Curtis deserved to go but he should have taken the opportunity to level it up that point.
"Even if it was only a free-kick the boy should be sent off because Vieira was through on goal - it's exactly the same as ours. But you learn very quickly in the Conference that when you go away referees are swayed by the home support. We had it last Tuesday at Exeter and again at Salisbury on Saturday."
Meanwhile, Evans was involved in a touchline clash with Salisbury player-coach Tommy Widdrington during the game. The pair exchanged angry words in the second half and Evans refused to shake Widdrington's hand after the match.
Mullarkey, from Exeter, has previously refereed the Bulls in both 2003 and 2006. He reffed Conference matches in 2003 before being dropped down the list but, after running the line at Edgar Street in late 2005, he returned to Conference action in early 2006. He has sent off someone in all three of the matches he has 'controlled' with the Bulls involved - three players, and former Forest Green manager Alan Lewer.
