News Round Up

A large number of friendlies have been axed due to the weather. Darlington have moved their match with Gretna to the Scottish club's ground, while a dozen other friendlies involving League Two sides have been shelved after torrential rain made most pitches unplayable.

Crawley have been given an extension until the end of October to settle their CVA. The owners have still failed to finance the settlement, with a £1million-valued flat due for auction before the end of September. Bizarrely CVA supervisor Rob Sadler was given a standing ovation at the end of the creditors meeting, that saw just one creditor object to the extension.

Bulls target Marcus Browning is to feature for Weymouth in their friendly against Bournemouth, but is yet to agree terms with the club. Wrexham striker Lee McEvilly has left the club with immediate effect after the final year of his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

Macclesfield have signed former Chester defender Luke Dimech on a 12 month contract. The Maltese international returns to English football after a year away from the English league. Former Bulls striker Andy Moran is one step away from the second round of the UEFA Cup after scoring one of the goals in Rhyl's 3-1 win over FC Haka.

The Times have published their list of the 50 worst footballers to grace the Premiership. Of note to Bulls fans and League Two are Darren Ferguson (30), Jason Lee (19), and Ade Akinbiyi (15).
