Sturrock sounds a note of caution

The Swindon Town manager, Paul Sturrock, has said that their next three games are a challenge. Last night Swindon drew 0-0 at Rochdale with Sturrock blaming the pitch for stopping his side playing their passing game.

He has also drawn attention to the fact that his side hasn't always performed well against clubs below them in the League. Swindon have lost at Mansfield, Macclesfield, Barnet and Grimsby.

"If we get another seven points from our next three games against Hereford, Torquay and Bury then we will take some catching. I don't think this team has a problem when they are playing the top teams, but there are some Billy Big Times in there that just expect things to happen against the lower sides," Sturrock told this is Swindon.

"I would prefer to be playing your Hartlepools, Walsalls and MK Dons in the next three. But it is up to us to make sure we get things right on the day.

"The next games are a challenge."
