Doncaster Rovers deated Bristol Rovers 3-2 after extra-time to win the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Cardiff this afternoon.
Former Hereford United coach Richard O'Kelly, now assistant manager at Donny, told Sky before the game that his squad's recent poor form had been put down to a virus so he must have been pleased that they returned to winning ways today.
Meanwhile another former Hereford United team member Ryan Green missed the game. He had played for Bristol last week in a friendly but wasn't deemed fit enough to take part today.
Hereford United didn't get very far in the competition this season. They were defeated in the first round 2-1 by Shrewsbury Town at Edgar Street last October.
