Dagenham and Redbridge have finally won promotion to the Football League after beating Aldershot in today's Conference match.
A crowd of 4,044, more than double their highest attendance this season, watched the Daggers win 2-1 to clinch the title with five games to spare. It is five years since they were 'robbed' of a Football League place by Boston, who were later found guilty of illegal payments to players and false accounting, and the following season they missed out in the play-off final.
