Burton Albion have today confirmed the signing of Danny Bacon on a one month "emergency" loan deal. With Burton apparently having 18 of their 19 man squad fit and available, and with the Conference keeping player registration matters confidential, it is wondered quite what the valid reasons for the loan are.
Other loans, in the Football League, have taken place today. Norwich City have signed striker Kevin Lisbie on "emergency" loan from Charlton despite having five first team strikers fit, including the highly experienced Peter Thorne and Dean Ashton, and Hull City have signed striker Chris Brown for an "emergency" three months again without a major injury crisis.
"Our Strikers Can't Score In A Brothel" appears to be a valid reason for this new "emergency" system!
