The lack of updates over the last couple of weeks to the Confguide.com website by it's new owners, Teamtalk Media, have disappointed many regular readers of it's once excellent news and results service. The site, which once boasted as-they-happened goal changes, hasn't been updated from Saturday's Conference programme.
Teamtalk Media, the sporting content arm of Ukbetting PLC, operate dozens of sports websites and took over the site in mid-July stating in a news release on the Confguide site "The confguide.com site is now being operated by the Teamtalk media group. We are committed to retaining the site as a leading news forum for fans and supporters of the football conference."
Unfortunately, a series of events since that announcement on 18th July appear to have changed their priorities. Totalbet.com, part of Teamtalk's parent company, is now the official betting and gaming partner of the Conference, and Teamtalk are also now responsible for operating not only the conferencefootball.tv match highlights website, but also the official Conference website, footballconference.co.uk.
Over the past week, every news article to appear on Confguide has appeared, word for word, on the official Conference website - with the Official site updated not only first, but with more articles and information. This reporter fears that the Confguide site, once the bane of John Moules and the Conference Committee, is heading for a slow death followed by a swift merger into the official Conference site.
