Speaking to the Non League Paper Australian midfielder Jon Brady said that his former Stevenage manager, Graham Westley, offered him his new reduced contract by text message.
"To be quite honest with you, being paid less money wasn't a problem to me, but to get offered terms through a text message on my mobile phone from Graham was worrying. That was his prerogative - morally I did not think that was the right was to do thing so I didn't sign. I thought after the season I had, I didn't warrant that. I felt hurt and disappointed. I had a great time at Stevenage. Tomorrow is purely about the result."
Brady, currently struggling to be fit for tomorrows match, confirmed that he was on less money at Hereford than he was at Stevenage.
Speaking to the Hertford Comet, Brady added "I desperately want to play. I'm a quick healer and hopefully I will be fit enough by the weekend. The games between the clubs have always been superb ones. It's a clash of styles. Hereford are known as a passing side and Stevenage are more direct it's fair to say."
